Firstly, this is a safe place. All of us here know about living with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and we don’t take it lightly. People’s lives are at stake and the lives of those they love. OCD is a lifetime condition. But it can be managed. Many people have found freedom from its symptoms. You can learn to be one of them.
Maybe you have just been diagnosed with OCD. Maybe you are already in treatment. Or maybe you’re just looking for more information. Wherever you are in your life, your needs are as important as anyone else’s.
So many people living with OCD feel alone, alienated, crazy and misunderstood. Here that won’t happen because: 1. you are none of these things, and 2. at the OCD Centre we have personal experience of OCD. So if you’ve never come across any of the other millions of extraordinary, gifted people with this condition, you have now.
We also know that the journey to freedom from OCD is different for everyone. Our programmes are adaptable and focused on the individual. Our counsellors are highly trained in the REBT technique (you can find out more on this site). But we never forget the person within the condition. We listen to the feedback of our clients. We are also committed to making your work with us affordable. One day, we hope our unique type of therapy can be available to everyone who needs it.
